Site Assessments

Kenvirons, Inc. routinely provides Phase I and II environmental site assessments and audits. The professional staff of Kenvirons uses a wide array of procedures to provide site assessment services. Upon the completion of the investigation and analysis of the findings, Kenvirons produces a professional report detailing the conditions, impacts, and recommendations as to the need for further investigations and potential corrective measures. Site assessment documents are prepared in compliance with state, federal and national (ASTM) standards.

Remedial Investigation

Remedial Investigations, performed by Kenvirons, Inc. are designed to meet the needs and budgetary requirements of the client, while at the same time addressing the concerns of local, state and federal agencies to comply with their requirements. The environmental engineering staff of Kenvirons, Inc. develops a work plan outlining the project scope, including a QA/QC plan and a site specific health and safety plan. Cost estimates and project schedules are developed for the completion of all phases of the remediation from site characterization to analysis.

Kenvirons, Inc. has the capabilities to implement remediation work plans through the utilization of internal staff and by securing the services of highly qualified subcontractors as necessary.

Hydrogeologic Investigations

Kenvirons, Inc. offers hydrogeologic investigations ranging from simple quarterly or semi-annual sampling and analysis of existing groundwater monitoring systems to full blown investigations. These investigations may range from characterization of the hydrogeologic conditions at a project site to the design and installation of a groundwater monitoring system. Kenvirons, Inc. develops and implements work plans which often include rock coring and testing, designing and installing monitoring wells, performing dye traces and aquifer testing, groundwater monitoring and performance of statistical analysis.

Hazardous And Non-Hazardous Closures

Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Closure plans are prepared by the professional staff of Kenvirons on a regular basis. Kenvirons develops a work plan which outlines the scope of the work and includes a QA/QC plan, a site specific health and safety plan, and cost estimates and time schedules required for completion of all phases of the closure.

Upon completion of the closure, Kenvirons produces a professionally written and certified report detailing the closure activities for the project site, including physical removal of the contamination or designing and installing an appropriate treatment system.

Corrective Action Plans

Kenvirons, Inc. develops corrective action plans for both hazardous and non-hazardous facilities. Plans are designed to address the regulatory requirements of local, state and federal agencies while being sensitive to the budgetary requirements of the client.

Upon the completion of the corrective action plan, Kenvirons is available to assist the client with the implementation of the closure plan. Kenvirons, Inc. has expertise in conducting soil, groundwater, and air sampling/analysis to verify the cleanup of contamination and is capable of coordinating subcontractors as necessary to physically remove site contamination.

Risk Assessments

Many site assessments, remedial investigations, corrective actions and closures require that a risk assessment be performed in order to protect human health and the environment from current and potential threats from uncontrolled hazardous substance releases. Kenvirons offers risk assessment services which normally include data collection and evaluation, exposure assessments, toxicity assessments and risk characterization. Kenvirons develops risk assessment plans which include methods for determining the appropriate data collection and evaluation procedures for the contamination of concern, feasibility studies, evaluation of the fate and transport of contaminates and assessment of the risks associated with contamination.
